One of the things on our bucket list of "things to do" before we leave SA is to tour the Mercedes-Benz plant in East London. This was also on the bucket list of the Thomas's. We squeezed in a date before they left for America. What a treat it was. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures in the plant. All I can say, is if you ever get a chance to tour an automobile plant…just do it. Technology at it's best. Robotic arms everywhere. Sister Thomas said, " I keep imagining what would happen if one of these robots took on a life of it's own. It would make a great horror movie.
This particular plant turns out 460 cars per day!
